Collection Queues Process

Administration Functions Overview

Description

The Load Collection Queues process is a job that is systematically run daily and loads the defined System Collection Queues with Customer Loan/Receivables of the appropriate delinquency. The job processes all Loan/Receivables and identifies those that meet the delinquency requirements of one (or more) of the System Collection Queues. (The delinquency requirements for a given System Collection Queue can be accessed through the queue's Load Properties function. See the chapter entitled Collection Queue Load Properties for additional information.)

When a Loan/Receivable is identified as meeting the delinquency requirements for a particular System Collection Queue, the load process will assign it to that queue. It should be noted that the load process will move a Loan/Receivable from one System Collection Queue to another, if appropriate. For example if a Loan/Receivable is currently resident in the "30-59 day" queue but is found by the Load Collection Queues process to now be over 60 days delinquent, that Loan/Receivable will be automatically transferred/moved to the "60-89 day" System Collection Queue.

When a Loan/Receivable is placed into Collections by the Load Collection Queues process, the Loan/Receivable's status will be changed to "Q". The Loan/Receivable's ‘In Collections Since’ Date and ‘Review Date’ will also be set at that time.

A Loan/Receivable can also be removed from Collections automatically by the Load Collection Queues process under certain conditions. If a Loan/Receivable is currently in any of the System Collection Queues and is brought current (or at least less than 30 days delinquent), the load process will remove it from Collections. The Loan/Receivable's status will be changed to "R", and the Loan/Receivable's ‘In Collections Since’ Date and ‘Review Date’ will be set to nulls.

The Load Collection Queues process can be initiated manually, or scheduled and run as a batch job, or both. Regardless of how the process is initiated, the results will be the same.

Manual Initiation

The user can run the Load Collection Queues manually using the Collection Queue Maintenance screen. It also shows the last time the Load Collection Queues process was run, either manually or as a scheduled batch job.
